Your Wedding Morning Prep
There's a lot of focus on the bridal preparations on a wedding day but what about the boys?!... Here at Pendrell Hall we welcome the Groom and his Groomsmen into their very own Dressing Room.
The Pimpernel Suite is on the first floor of your fabulous Country House Wedding Venue. It's exclusively available for the Groom to use from 10.30am on his wedding morning and offers the perfect onsite location for getting suited and booted.
There is limitless choice for the modern groom; whether you and the boys are rocking tails or tweed, bow ties or no ties, velvet or linen, kilts or a three-piece, we know you'll appreciate a calm and quiet space to perfect your look.
What To Expect
The Pimpernel Suite is equipped with:

- Classic Pendrell Hall Styling
- Large Lit Wall Mirror
- Bottled Water (Stay Hydrated!)
- Period Features
- Original Fireplace
- Great Views Across Pendrell Hall's Grounds
- Small Washbasin
Located on the First Floor inside Pendrell Hall, The Pimpernel Suite is just across the hall from the Love is Enough Suite, our other fabulous Dressing Room.
We've Got You Covered
Your Wedding Day Events Manager is on hand to welcome you to Pendrell Hall and show you up to The Pimpernel Suite, which is available from 10.30am on your wedding day.
We'll make sure you're settled in and then leave you to enjoy the build up to your ceremony time. We're never far away should you need some assistance with fastening your buttonholes or checking your tie is straight, we've had plenty of practice! Just so you know...the gentleman's buttonhole is fastened onto the left lapel above the handkerchief pocket.
If you need to give your shirt a quick iron just let us know and we'll pop an iron and ironing board into the suite.
Get Those Killer Shots
Make sure you leave plenty of time before the wedding ceremony to spend a bit of quality time with the Groomsmen and Ushers; explore the gorgeous gardens at Pendrell Hall and get those killer shots of you all looking fabulous!
When thinking about your timings, don't forget that the Registrars will need to speak to you around 40 minutes before the ceremony time. It's nothing to worry about, they just need to confirm they have all the correct details for your ceremony.
Your wedding photographer is very welcome to pop in and out of the Groom's Room to get some great shots of you getting ready but it's lovely if you've got time to get outside for a few photos of the finished look.
Prep The Team
Use your time in the Groom's Room to prep your team:
Have you got your speeches printed out? (We can help if not, just email them through to the office and we'll print them out.)
Has everyone familiarised themselves with the venue so that they can welcome guests and confidently direct them to the cloakroom to hang their coats, The Bar, The Ceremony Room, the toilets, the accommodation check-in desk?...now you're wearing the suit the guests will ask you!
Are the gentlemen prepped to walk the Mums down the aisle? This is a really lovely touch, often the Mother-of-the-Bride is one of the last guests to be seated having helped her daughter with the finishing touches and it's wonderful if one of the Groomsmen escorts her to her seat.
Work those smiles, welcome the guests and enjoy!
Wedding Day Nerves
We know you might be a little nervous before the wedding ceremony, it's only natural but please be careful about how much 'Dutch Courage' you consume. Your wedding ceremony is a formal legal proceeding and the Registrars expect a certain level of decorum throughout the ceremony.
We're happy for you to enjoy a drink in The Pimpernel Suite but please be aware that by law, no food or drink is to be consumed in the Ceremony Room prior to your marriage.
As you'd expect, cigar smoking, smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere inside any of the buildings at Pendrell Hall.
Moving To Your Wedding Night Suite
The Pimpernel Suite, your Groom's Room, is available right up until your ceremony at Pendrell Hall.
Please take a moment to gather your possessions together neatly before vacating the room prior to your ceremony, so that we can pop them into your Wedding Night Suite for you later that day.
Your chosen Wedding Night Suite is yours from Midday; check-in times for guest accommodation in The Orchard Stables varies from 12 Noon to 2pm but there should be plenty of time after check-in for your Groomsmen to move their personal effects from the Dressing Room to their overnight accommodation.
Two People In Love
Whether you're set to become Mr & Mrs, Mrs & Mrs or Mr & Mr it's great to know that you've got a Dressing Room each at Pendrell Hall.
The Love is Enough Dressing Room and our brand new Pimpernel Suite Dressing Room are both available from 10.30am on your wedding day.
