There is so much excitement and new experiences to be had when planning your wedding day. Equally, it is normal to also feel a little nervous, but we are here to help you throughout the whole process. Our wedding specialists will guide you every step of the way right up until the end of your wedding day.

In your Planning Meeting we will discuss every single detail of your special day so that we can coordinate your day exactly how you want us to. We want to know what’s important to you on your wedding, so we will ask you lots of questions in order for us to fully understand your vision. This leaves you free from any stress so you can fully relax and enjoy your day, while we ensure everything else goes to plan.

Your Planning Meeting will take place at Pendrell Hall approximately three months prior to the wedding. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to get to know you more personally, however we realise that some couples who live outside the local area may find it difficult to travel in, so in these instances, we are more than happy to hold the meeting via Zoom.

The Wedding Party

Your Wedding Party play such an important part of your day, so after confirming your daytime and evening guest numbers, we will then ask you who you’d like your key players to be. These are usually close ones who you know you count on to support you at key moments.

You may want particular key players to get ready with you in the Dressing Room, or perhaps a loved one to make the announcements on the day. By telling us these details it helps us to put together a detailed plan that will help us both form a picture of how you want things to flow. We will share this plan with you, which you are also welcome to share with any suppliers who may find it useful. Please don’t worry if any little changes have to be made following the meeting, as long as you inform us before the wedding, we can easily adapt the plan.

Timings

We will firstly want to double-check your booked ceremony time with you, and then we will discuss other timings of things that will follow. This can include:

• Live music
• Cutting the wedding cake
• First Dance
• Guest Entertainment
• Number of speeches

Suppliers

Suppliers’ diaries can get booked up really quickly, so it’s good to get them booked as soon as possible. We sometimes need to get in touch with suppliers directly, so if you could bring a note of their contact details to the meeting, we’d really appreciate it. Suppliers can include:

• Musicians
• Venue dressers
• Florists
• DJs
• Photographers

Personal Touches

Don’t be afraid to let those creative juices flow as we’re always super excited to hear all of your venue dressing ideas. We always like to discuss this early in the planning process just to make sure that it can all feasibly work within the venue. Contained within the walls of Pendrell Hall are already so many beautiful period features, so even simple decoration goes a long way.

However, should you wish to go all out with decoration, you may need to bring an external venue dresser along with you, as your lovely Event Manager only has limited time to place everything out how you’ve planned.

Music

It’s always a joy to hear how you’re both choosing to soundtrack your ceremony as it is such a special aspect of the day. Most couples choose to have two songs for their entrance to the ceremony, and two songs to leave, as well as a selection of songs for guests to enjoy when they arrive. A really easy way to pass on your song choices to us is to share them on Spotify using a public playlist.

It’s also wonderful to see couples make their entrance to live music. A live Harpist or String Quartet set in front of the large bay window in The Morning Room always enhances the romance.
