Photography at Pendrell Hall

Endless Photo Opportunities
It’s always a great pleasure to photograph weddings at Pendrell Hall as it’s a venue with countless opportunities for great photography. As soon as you turn off the main road you’ll be met by the tree lined sweeping driveway and eye catching festoon lighting. This is barely the start of what Pendrell Hall has to offer for your wedding photography.
A huge advantage of Pendrell Hall is having a room for both partners to get ready in. This not only means the guys don’t need to worry about their suits creasing on the journey to the venue, but your photographer can capture the morning excitement for both parties. A perfect way to start the story of your wedding.
Indoor Spaces
When searching for wedding venues couples often fall in love with their grounds and outdoor spaces, and it’s easy to forget the possibility of rain or bad weather.
There are few venues that lend themselves to indoor photography as well as Pendrell Hall, making it the perfect venue all year round.
With a variety of rooms there are always different spots to use for indoor photography. Whether thats making use of the beautiful natural light cast by the full length windows in the drawing room, capturing a nervous bride making her way down the stairs before the ceremony, or framing the speeches with the bay window in the ball room. You can relax knowing the venue has nearly as much to offer for indoors as it does outdoors.
Outdoor Spaces
Pendrell is set amongst 6 acres of gardens and there really is something for everyone. Having photographed dozens of weddings at Pendrell over the years I found different routes and locations to suit whatever the light or weather.
The lawns and secret garden to the back of the venue are perfect in all seasons, with Autumn possibly being my personal favourite as the leaves start to turn. Newly weds can take a relaxed stroll across the grounds towards the tree swing for some relaxed and fun portraits. The lawns make an ideal spot for carnival games or crazy golf, which always provide lots of opportunities for fun natural photos!
If it’s been raining before the wedding and lawns are a little too damp to use you really don’t need to worry, the driveway and it’s festoon lighting has plenty to offer and there are even more pathways near the shepherds hut to make use of for even more photo opportunities.
Evening Photos
During your evening reception guests have the choice of gathering in The Bar or chilling out in The Drawing room. With so much space available, you have free rein to book a Photo Booth, casino, or magician. All of which are great for natural photos and keeping the guests entertained and a lively atmosphere.
During the summer months guests will enjoy relaxing outside after the wedding breakfast and watching the lawn games, before it’s time for your first dance. If your wedding is during the darker evenings, you also can brave the cold for some night photos when the venue lights up for the evening.
If your wedding photography is important to you, Pendrell Hall should be high on your short list for a versatile venue that offers great photographic opportunities all year round.
