A Walled Country Estate
Pendrell Hall in South Staffordshire is one of the UK’s most sensational wedding venues in the country. I always get excited on the approach to Pendrell Hall; like all fine English country properties the border of the estate is walled, so as soon
as I catch a glimpse of the impressive stone walling I get a flutter of excitement and start looking out for the majestic stone gateposts which welcome you into the estate itself.
Pendrell Hall’s impressive driveway winds its way through mature woodland, it’s a credit to the original Victorian landscaping that you feel so immersed in the glory of the hall as soon as you enter
its grounds. The mature trees provide an intimate canopy overhead and the diversity of trees and shrubbery is impressive. The Victorians had a thing for exotic planting!
Once you reach Pendrell Hall chances are that your attention will be momentarily diverted away from the wonderful countryside setting by the gorgeousness of the hall itself. It really is one of the most architecturally stunning wedding venues in the country.
The beauty of the hall is enhanced by its parkland setting; again it’s hats off to the original Victorian architects who thought carefully about every aspect of Pendrell Hall and made sure that the views outside, from the impressive bay windows were equally impressive as the Arts & Crafts features inside the hall.
No wedding venue in the country would be complete without some beautiful gardens to enjoy. Pendrell Hall has six acres of English country garden to explore. The formal front lawn is a great place for wedding photographs and the perfect place for some romantic and wistful daydreaming.
It’s impossible not to be drawn to the magnificent weeping beech tree, you simply have to trail your fingers through the weeping fronds and imagine how perfect it would be with a glass of champagne in hand!
If you’re looking for wedding venues in the country which inspire and ignite passions, that will enhance and add beauty of your wedding day then Pendrell Hall in South Staffordshire could be the one for you.
