Autumn Wedding Ideas

They often say that you most enjoy the month in which you were born. My Birthday falls in September and I have to say that I love this time of year and I love seeing what Autumn wedding ideas our lovely couples come up with.

After the sweltering heat of the Summer I love to look out for the first signs of Autumn in the plants and shrubs in the beautiful gardens at Pendrell Hall. Early in the morning the fabulous parkland setting is revealed as the morning mist fades away at the start of another exciting day for one of our lovely couples. Later, with the sun is low in the sky a softer, gentler, golden light casts long shadows onto the formal lawn and the vivid reds, yellows and golds of the borders begin to reveal their splendour; a perfect flattering light for your photographer to capture your special day. I wonder what Autumn wedding ideas you might be planning?

The country house is simply stunning and the interiors have been deliberately designed so that any colour scheme you have in mind will work beautifully. I love it when couples view Pendrell Hall Country House Wedding Venue for the first time and, with heads slightly cocked to one side, are mentally dressing the venue with the decorations and Autumn wedding ideas or themes they would like.

I have it on good authority that all things “bridal” this year are going to be gold, so what an opportunity for our Autumn brides to choose deeper shades for their Bridesmaids dresses and incorporate tiny berries and trailing ivy into bouquets, buttonholes and corsages to compliment these richer tones? We love The Topiary Tree Florist because Rose there is so good at advising what flowers are in season so if you are planning some show-stopper table decorations let them show you a portfolio of their work so you can choose exactly what you’d like.

Tall centrepieces for your Wedding Breakfast tables can look spectacular but don’t discount smaller ones too which can be less obtrusive and encourage conversation over the dinner table between your guests. Have a look at our suppliers directory for all things ‘wedding’, any one of the suppliers listed would love to weave their magic for you!

I really love September but don’t forget that October sees us putting our clocks back ready for Winter so, now the evenings start to draw in, you might like to think about some Halloween inspired ideas and candles on the tables to create a soft ambience. Some venues don’t allow the use of candles but here at Pendrell Hall we know that they are integral mood enhancers, so we allow a variety of carefully positioned candles in suitable, stable containers. If you are not sure that the ones you have in mind are suitable just contact us before you buy them so that we can assess if they meet our safety standards.

So, as Summer prepares to bow out, I hope you all enjoyed the most fantastic sunny weather this year. As for me, I’m looking forward to celebrating the explosion of colour that is Autumn and seeing your Autumn wedding ideas take shape!

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me………!!

Lots of love, Jayne xx
