This month I took part in my first Tasting Day at our sister venue, The Ashes Barn Wedding Venue Staffordshire – in fact it was my first visit to this beautiful barn wedding venue too. My excitement rose as I drove up the long sweeping driveway to see the lovely setting and the rest of the day continued to exceed my expectations. Even the weather was kind, although the wind was very chilly!
We look forward to hosting our own Tasting Day at Pendrell Hall, a truly historic wedding venue in South Staffordshire. This sumptuous property dates back to the Victorian Era and will have hosted some extravagant and elegant dinner parties in its time; the newly restored Ballroom will make the perfect location for a fabulous Tasting Day.
Tasting Days offer the opportunity for our catering partners’ head chef to showcase some of the new dishes he’s created in their top secret development kitchen as well as some classic dishes that remain popular choices for a wedding breakfast year after year.
In the future we look forward to inviting the happy couples who have chosen to get married at Pendrell Hall, one of Staffordshire’s most beautiful and elegant historic wedding venues to a Tasting Day. We hope they will enjoy a glass of our recommended bubbly and a few canapés upon arrival at the venue before being invited to explore this newly restored historic wedding venue which will be dressed to impress by our recommended florist, the incredibly talented team at The Topiary Tree
It was clear at the recent Tasting Day held at The Ashes Barn Wedding Venue that it is such a good idea as the prospective happy couples arrive with clear excitement written on their faces. Our couples are given the opportunity to invite up to four additional guests (at a nominal charge) and for many of their close relatives and friends whom they invite along it is their first visit to the wedding venue.
The Ashes Tasting Day was a tremendous success enjoyed by all. There wasn’t a negative comment throughout the day, quite the opposite in fact. The selection of dishes served was fantastic, the wine was flowing and as an Event Manager it was lovely to chat to the guests and answer their queries. Check out all the photos of that day taken by the extraordinarily lovely and talented Deborah Stott of Stott Photography.
I can’t wait to host the event at Pendrell Hall, it’s an exciting time to be part of the restoration programme at this historic wedding venue and to be there practically from the inception of the project. This way I can see Pendrell Hall wedding venue flourish as each week goes by.
There is so much to look forward to; Tasting Days apart, the wedding bookings are filling up at such a rate. Even the future brides and grooms I’ve shown around over the last few weeks show great excitement in anticipation of how incredible this historic wedding venue is going to be.
